The Architecture [news] fund invites you to lecture and discussion “Eco fabrication. Remaking architecture” on 5pm on Thursday 11th of June in National Gallery of Art.
Dr. Cristian Suau from Scotland Strahclyde university will give a lecture on “Eco fabrication. Remaking architecture”. Dr Suau’s design research outcomes cover the fields of sustainable architecture (experimental housing design); urbanism (ecological urban planning, urban design and landscape architecture) and theory of architecture. His academic strength constitutes the resilient ability to bridge research and design by delivering innovative models at all levels and connecting both technological and humanistic realms of Architecture and Urbanism. Dr Suau was senior architect and project leader in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Rotterdam. He has obtained several international housing and urban design awards such as EUROPAN (2006) and newly obtained an international urban design award in Chile called ‘Bicentenario Chile: Rambla for Citizenship’ (2012). Currently he leads an international collaborative Eco-design platform called ECOFABRICA.
