The Soviet time residential districts were formed by the similar structural elements: the centre of the district with public buildings, few microrayons with specifically grouped housing blocks of industrialized construction, few tower blocks, schools, preschools, differentiated public spaces, etc. Some buildings of the same project were multiplied in few districts, while the others were originally designed and individual- they were most interesting cases to be visited during two tours “ A Perfect (Micro)rayon: Do-It-Yourself” around the Soviet time residential districts Lazdynai, Karoliniškės, Viršuliškės, Justiniškės, Šeškinė, Pašilaičiai, Pilaitė in Vilnius ( on 22th and 28 th October 2011).
