Beloved Architecture
Architecture is not stagnant, nor eternal or music. Despite all the love, most of the buildings get old and disappear. Only the exceptional ones become loved forever. Buildings do not appear from nowhere – someone needs them. Buildings that are not only comfortable but beautiful too. In other words, they need architecture. Not only architecture does not appear from nothing. It is always somewhere. In the specific environment. And architecture is able to change it as to make it better or worse. People get used to their environment and over the time they feel attached to it.
It is the truth all of us know, however, one‘s personal experience can make it unique.
The lecture starts on the 28th of February, 20:00.
The lecture will be held at MO museum, Pylimo st. 17, Vilnius. The lecture will be in Lithuanian language. The event is free.

Audrius Ambrasas is one of the most influential architects in Lithuania, winner of the prestigious National Culture and Art Awards in 2017. He was honored for his delicate attitude towards public spaces and professional responsibility. Audrius Ambrasas has received St. Christopher's prize for his impact on the contemporary architecture in Vilnius.
